Game freezing when creating game save (pokemon y)

when i first played pokemon y i was able to save my game through the in game menu, but it got corrupted so i had to delete the save and start over and from then on i didn’t save due to the game crashing while still having the last frame showing, as well as freezing citra.

Here’s some issues I found with your log that might help.

  • Enabling Accurate Multiplication is recomended in certain games. If you are experiencing graphical glitches, try enabling this option.

The game is still freezing when creating a game save

You have memory read/write errors which is a sign of a corrupted rom or update. Try remove the update first (right click on the game then Open Update Data Location, go back to the 0004000e folder and delete 00055e00 folder there).

Other than that, you should do this:

  1. Open Citra then go to File->Open Citra Folder
  2. Open shaders folder then delete the opengl folder if it’s there
  3. Emulation->Configure... then click on Graphics on the left
  4. Click on the Advanced tab and turn on Accurate Multiplication

The Disk Shader Cache currently has a bug when Accurate Multiplication is turned off causing it to slowly load all shaders from zero every time you start the game and makes the precompiled cache extrememly large + the RAM usage skyrockets until you crash.

would reloading the game state affect the outcome of deleting the update?

because i used that instead of saving and have to start a new game

starting a new game allows me to save
