Game keeps freezing but sound still plays

I had been using Citra for the past few days and constantly update it. I had no issues up until now. The game completely freezes then the sound continues playing at the background but the screen stays frozen. I tried to use an older version of Citra but it did not work.

System Information

  • Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Pentium @ 2.30GHz
    Kaby Lake-U/Y 14nm Technology
  • GPU: Generic PnP Monitor ([email protected])
    Intel HD Graphics 610 (HP)
  • Citra Version (found in title bar): Citra nightly 1315
  • Game: Pokemon Ultra Sun

  • Enabling Accurate Multiplication is recomended in certain games. If you are experiencing graphical glitches, try enabling this option.

Here’s some issues I found with your log that might help.

  • Enabling Accurate Multiplication is recomended in certain games. If you are experiencing graphical glitches, try enabling this option.

Try switching to Canary even though results usually end up more unstable, and try updating your on-board graphics here.

@Muneeb_Molwanias as for you I do not understand what you are doing. Do you have the same problem?

Yes. I have the similar problem. Screen freezes, however, the game still works in the background. I have tried using the older versions of citra too, the problem seems to remain the same.

maybe it a common problem with intel hd graphics in certain games (with latest citra version ?) especially with large environment 3d games, my intel hd 4600 had same problem with kingdom hearts 3d , best is to run Linux (I am no programmer ) since I heard that Linux have less problem if you on a lap,get a gpu like or similar to a gtx 750 if you on desktop

I tried what you recommended and I still have freezing issues. What changed is that I can still interact with the game even though the screen is frozen

Did you get the gtx 750? Any nvidia ll work. It work for me, but if it still not work for you then I am sorry :pensive: :pensive:
