Graphics suddenly being bad in pokemon sun and game freezing randomly

Issue:
I started playing Pokemon Sun about 30 mins ago, and about 20 mins in i saved the game and the pixels started randomly turning black. It also randomly freezes but the music keeps playing

do i need to execute the driver that i downloaded?

and also since i downloaded citra i’ve been getting this maintainancetool.exe notification. even when i accept it or decline it it keeps appearing. is it something of citra or a problem in my pc?

did everything and it just crashed after the boxes appearing even more

Did you try install the all-in-one pack I linked in that thread?

Worst case, you will have to build Citra from source and run it within Visual Studio. Maybe there is a similar problem. I don’t have a 10th gen laptop so I cannot do it myself, otherwise I would.

Is Citra installed into the default location? I don’t really have an answer to that, I don’t think I have heard this issue before.

Yes i did download the all in one pack. And i could download Citra in the default location because it had non ASCII characters or something like that, i just created a folder named Citra in program files x86

Yeah, the Citra installer currently only works with “English” characters so é, ñ, á etc with accents won’t work. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Ah this might be the problem, probably an issue with permissions. You can try pick a different folder that you create yourself on the C:\ drive.

ohh that might epxlain it. my name is raúl and so is the name of my user so that should explain it. and btw i dowloaded citra in a created folder on program files x86 called Citra.

No pick a different folder. Don’t use program x86. You can create a folder directly on the C:\ drive called Citra so the path is C:\Citra.
