Hi emulators. I’m working on building a new system with an eye on emulation game support. For something like playing on Yuzu, do you think there would be a big difference between a 12th gen i7 with DDR4 memory vs a 13th gen i7 with DDR5 memory? Specifically:
i7-12700K w/ DDR4-3200 PC4-25600
i7-13700K w/ DDR5-6000 PC5-48000
The game I want to play seems more compute intensive, like Super Smash Bro.
In order for us to provide better support, we need to see the log generated by yuzu. This guide will walk you through how you can obtain the log file: Getting Log Files - yuzu
Both would be overkill for Smash, so you should be fine either way.
An argument can be made for Tears of the Kingdom, but for a game so optimized like Smash, you’re fine.
That’s pretty insane considering it’s just a switch game…
If the Swtich 2 (or whatever the name of the next console will be) offers around the same power such as a PS4, we can basically forget about Emulation (even if possible) unless we have NASA-PC?
