Home button not working in Bowser's Inside Story

Hello,
In the game “Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story + Bowser Jr’s Journey”, there is a mini-game with Broque Madame called Goomba Storm. At the end of the mini-game, a message shows up saying: Closing game… Press (home icon) to return to HOME Menu.
According to my Citra configuration, the home button is “B”, but nothing happens when I press it. So I am stuck at that screen.

I did not find anything wrong in your log file. Please wait for a moderator to assist.

I don’t have the game myself so I can’t check, but wouldn’t just stopping the emulation suffice? Or does it come back to that point if you do so? (Also, don’t use save states to test this, use in-game save files).

Thank you for your reply. After trying what u said I got a message that the save data of the game is corrupt!

So I loaded back to a save state and tried saving in-game. However I was faced with the same “home button” message.

After restarting Citra a couple of times, my in-game save file was no where to be found. However, since I still have my Citra save states, I used the one before starting the minigame and managed to make a new in-game save normally. The deletion of the corrupted in-game save file seems to have fixed the “home button” message that appears after the mini-game as well.

I am assuming the whole “home button” message was because of the corruption of my in-game save data. And I am also assuming the corruption was because I was changing the “emulation speed” while the game was saving.
