How do I download Citra manually?

So I’m trying to trade with myself in ORAS and apparently I have to download both the the regular Installer and the manual one. I’ve already installed Citra through the installer and completed OR, but since I need some Pokemon that are only available in AS to complete my dex I decided to play that as well, now the problem I have is that I’m not too great with computers so when i searched up how to trade with myself I found the community post that told me how to do so, but I don’t know how the manual download works so can someone please guide me?

Edit: I’m using Citra Nightly not Canary, so if that is the problem then do tell me so.

In order for us to provide better support, we need to see the log generated by Citra. This guide will walk you through how you can obtain the log file: How to Upload the Log File.

On the download page, click “manual download” then your platform(Linux, macOS, Windows) then extract the contents. On Windows you can use 7-Zip: https://www.7-zip.org/download.html.

Thank you, should I download Canary or Nightly again if that would create an issue?

Nightly is the “stable” build while Canary is experimental(so you can test the latest features). If you are unsure which one you should pick then choose Nightly.

Thank you again, the post mentioned Canary but that shouldn’t be an issue right?

The structure is identical for both builds :slight_smile: so it should work.

Can you explain what you mean by "click on manual download, then your platform. I’m on the manual download page and don’t know where to go from there.

Currently macOS builds have been dropped but will come back in the future.
