The guides always mention a “user” folder which I can’t find anywhere. Not in roaming, not in the portable version folder

Diagnostic Log
In order for us to provide better support, we need to see the log generated by citra. This guide will walk you through how you can obtain the log file: How to Upload the Log File
Creating a portable build involves downloading a manual build of Citra (left side in the screenshot), and then manually creating a folder called user
in the same directory as that manual build’s citra-qt.exe
. Once you’ve done that, this Citra version is now a portable build, and it’ll store all of Citra’s normal user folders
(right side of the screenshot) in there instead now.
