How to stay up to date on Pokemon Sun/Moon optimization

First off, let me just say that this emulator is SUPER impressive. I’m able to run Sun/Moon without any audio or video glitches.

However, as with a lot of other people, I’m getting very low FPS (15) when walking outside, making the game agonizingly slow. I did a lot of research on this and tried a bunch of solutions (changing log to critical, getting rid of outlines, etc), but with no noticeable improvements. So I figure my CPU (2.93 ghz) simply isn’t powerful enough for citra in it’s current state (at least for this game).

So my question is, is there a way I can know when new builds improve optimization? I see that citra releases new builds frequently, but not all of them seem to offer optimization improvements. Testing the game with every new build release would be tedious as hell, so I was wondering if there are any announcements for when these improvements are made, or if I should just check the commit message for each new build.

Bleeding Edge does have some sort of way saying what was added in a new release on GitHub, but it doesn’t say if there is any performance improvements.

Citra is still in it’s early days and most games don’t run on full speed even on the best computers. For performance improvements you just have to wait, or get a better CPU.
