I can't add a cheat code as action replay code

Issue: I can’t add a cheat code as action replay code.

I’m playing Pokemon X with Citra right now. It runs fine, but then I realized that I can’t add cheat codes as action replay code; the app won’t ask me which type of the code is, it just decides the code as gateway code, when it’s action replay. How do I change the type of cheat code?

Afaik, Citra only knows gateway codes. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Then why are there so many action replay codes in the internet? Also i think it was possible to use action replay before…

Because of homebrew…?
Those codes weren’t specifically made for Citra. They were usually made for use on the 3ds/2ds.
