I can't link two games using citra

Issue:
Hi. I was playing Yo-kai watch 2 psychic specters until yesterday when I started playing Yo-kai watch 3. I’ve got the 3 ROMS for all versions of YKW2 (Bony Spirits, Fleshy Souls and Psychic Specters) and tried to link those three versions to my YKW3 rom since its possible and if I do so, I’ll get special objects and characters. The issue is when I try linking those versions (the saving data should be stored in the SD card on a physical 3DS), I get the message ‘unable to find linking data from yo-kai watch 2’.

I basically only have to play one of these games and save the game (following screenshot) but my YKW3 game still can’t find any saving/linking data from YKW2 games. Can anyone help? I don’t really know where the issue is.

In order for us to provide better support, we need to see the log generated by citra. This guide will walk you through how you can obtain the log file: How to Upload the Log File

This currently isn’t possible in Citra. You’d have to do this on the 3DS, and then transfer the save data to Citra using Checkpoint.
