I don't know how to go from dumping files to using Citra

#1

Issue:
I dumped my system archives and shared fonts and merged the nand folders. I don’t know what to do now. When I dropped the .rar ROM file into Citra, I got the message: Unsupported ROM type, or something like that.

Diagnostic Log
Upload your log file as an attachment by dragging & dropping.
I can’t go to configure in Emulation. There is no option and all options in the Emulation tab are grayed out.
In order to save a copy of the log, follow this guide:

In order for us to provide better support, we need to see the log generated by Citra. This guide will walk you through how you can obtain the log file: How to Upload the Log File.

Citra does not support running dumps in archives. Please follow the instructions about dumping your game in the link in that popup box to dump them properly. Don’t compress it in an archive afterwards (regardless of type)

Do I do game cartridges or installed titles?

#5

Which one are you dumping? A cart you physically place in your 3ds? Or a digital title you purchased on the eshop?

#6

Oh got it so I’ll do game cartridge.

If your rom is in .rar file, extract it. Citra supports .3ds, .cxi, .cia, .3dsx, .app.
