I install the .cia and the icon doesn't show up

Issue:

When I download a .cia, I install it and the message I receive from the emulator is “Professor Layton and the Azran legacy has been installed succesfully” but there’s no icon in the “Installed games” board. I looked for that game and Animal Crossing: New Leaf in the “nand” and “sdmc” folder but only The Miracle Mask shows up.
What should I do? Help please, I don’t know a lot about this emulator.

PD: My Citra is in Spanish and I have tried with the .3ds files. It doesn’t work either.

Redump your game, make sure you have at least 4GB free space on your SD card. And try using cxi instead of cia.

I don’t have a 3DS, does it still work? I will try it anyway.

Thank you so much for the help!

You need to have access to a hacked 3DS(your own or a friend’s) in order to use Citra. You must also own the game, if you don’t have a 3DS that means your games will have to be on cartridge(physical copy), you need to own a 3DS if you want to own digital copies.

Ok, thanks You do mucho for the help. I’m sorry, I didn’t understand it at first. I’ll try to get a 3DS too to do this.

Thank You again.

Might I ask something? Why the f would you waste your time on an emulator if you own a 3DS with the game on it?

Play at higher resolutions, use any controller you like, texture packs(e.g MHXX HD pack makes it look like MHGU on the Switch), play at faster speeds(if your PC can handle it)… The list goes on :stuck_out_tongue:
