Here’s some issues I found with your log that might help.

  • You are running out of date drivers for your GPU. You need to install the most recent driver for your graphics card from Intel’s website. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/80939/Graphics-Drivers
  • Enabling Accurate Multiplication is recomended in certain games. If you are experiencing graphical glitches, try enabling this option.

But games worked before I updated

GPU Driver Version: Build 10.18.10.4358

This driver is outdated, you need to update.

Download win64_15.33.50.5129.zip from https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/29473/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-33-?product=81499
direct link: https://downloadmirror.intel.com/29473/a08/win64_15.33.50.5129.zip

then follow this guide to install it: https://www.howtogeek.com/343287/how-to-fix-the-driver-being-installed-is-not-validated-for-this-computer-on-intel-computers/

Also do this:

  1. Open Citra then go to File->Open Citra Folder
  2. Open shaders folder then delete the opengl folder if it’s there
  3. Emulation->Configure... then click on Graphics on the left
  4. Click on the Advanced tab and turn on Accurate Multiplication

The Disk Shader Cache currently has a bug when Accurate Multiplication is turned off causing it to slowly load all shaders from zero every time you start the game and makes the precompiled cache extrememly large + the RAM usage skyrockets until you crash.

Let me know if that helps, if not there might be “that” problem with the driver bug so you need to use an older build. I will link to it later, try the above first.

I have the same issue on my mac before i update Citra. I want to go back becasue it was sorking perfectly fine!

Upload a log please: https://community.citra-emu.org/t/how-to-upload-the-log-file/296

Both of you need to upload logs: How to Upload the Log File

I stopped the game and copied the log where it lagged a bit too much hope it helps

I did not find anything wrong in your log file. Please wait for a moderator to assist.

It looks like you accidentally reopened Citra before uploading the log. The log gets cleared every time you open Citra. Have the log folder open in the background first, then start the game and when Citra closes, immediately upload a new log here.

this time i am 200% sure that i didn’t reopen citra so please tell why my game lag so much it seems to download every animation after every single step.

Here’s some issues I found with your log that might help.

Well your GPU (Intel HD 4000) is very old, I have it too in my i7-3770K (however I use GTX 1070 for regular use). There is a chance to crash due to a driver bug so you will have to use Nightly 1392 “forever” (or until you upgrade your computer because I do not think Intel will fix it anytime soon): https://github.com/citra-emu/citra-nightly/releases/tag/nightly-1392

Pokémon X should run fine for the most part, it’s not as demanding than let’s say Monster Hunter :stuck_out_tongue:

HI, Im currently also facing this issue while playing story of season trio of town. Any help?

I have Nvidia Geforce GT 710M. How do i render with that instead of HD graphic 4000?

To do that you need to go into Nvidia Control Panel then in Manage 3D settings set Preferred GPU to Nvidia. While you are there set Power management mode to Prefer maximum performance. If you have GeForce Experience installed, turn off Battery Boost:

I have also encountered this problem while playing Miitopia. The shader cache really does gain a lot more shaders after each time I play to the point where it just crashes Citra. Would I have to update anything in my drivers?
