I believe Golden misspoke. You are correct, there’s no reason you should be unsubscribing from Patreon and then paying again.
However, it is true that Patreon is very slow on the first of each month as that’s when everyone on the platform is resubscribing to their creator and Patreon’s service can barely hold on.
Please navigate to https://profile.yuzu-emu.org/ and unlink / relink your yuzu and Patreon accounts. If that doesn’t work, you may need to wait a day for Patreon to catch up. Also, to double check, what currency are you using on Patreon?
