IR sensor - Wario Ware Move-It

Hello, I have recently been playing Wario Ware Move-it on my steam deck using Yuzu running on steam os linux with some Joycon controllers and I noticed that the IR sensor did not seem to be working, even when the Emulate infrared option was checked. Is this something that would be possible to fix on my end? I cannot find any information online about getting this to work at all.

In order for us to provide better support, we need to see the log generated by yuzu. This guide will walk you through how you can obtain the log file: Getting Log Files - yuzu

No game was booted in your log. If you are experiencing a crash then do not open yuzu again until after you posted the log as it gets purged when you reopen yuzu.

Do you really wonder why you get issue being behind hundreds of yuzu version?

Releases · yuzu-emu/yuzu-mainline · GitHub update to latest appimage.

1613 not yuzu 1212 that you’re on.

It is still not working on 1613
I might have been confused when locating the log file, as I have two installs of yuzu on this system. The version I am using is up to date.

It’s not implemented yet sadly nor will it work fully. Stick to your console for now.

Yeah, the function in the advanced controller settings can only use other video feeds like webcams. Maybe it would help to clarify that in Yuzu’s description of the function, by adding something like “The IR camera on official joy-cons is not (yet) supported, so most IR game functions won’t work.” Because I have seen others making the same mistake, thinking that the joycon’s camera is supported because of the option in the Yuzu settings.

I do hope there will be renewed interest in implementing it now that this WarioWare game requires it for one or more minigames. Ring-fit Adventure is another big mainstream title that utilizes it, although fortunately the function isn’t mandatory in that game.
