Do I even need to try or can I just already drop doing so? I am not focused on action games much, but rather turn-based strategy stuff.
I might install linux if it helps the cause.

Sorry, that is way too weak and way too old to use Citra on. Not even Linux would make it work. You’ll need a different device to use Citra.
