Is there a way to turn on basic DirectX9 rendering for Citra?

Issue:
As we know Citra is based on mostly software rendering and that’s still not very well supported in speed, but if we could use hardware based GPU profiling, would there be a slight chance in increase of speed? And if not, why?

System Information

  • Operating System: Windows 10 64-BIT
  • CPU: AMD E1-6010 APU
  • GPU: AMD Radeon R2 Graphics
  • Citra Version (found in title bar): Citra Nightly | HEAD-4af793c
  • Game: Any

No, Citra doesn’t have any DirectX rendering, and devs don’t want to implement any DirectX, because it’s Windows only.

Also,

Even if DX9 was available, your CPU wouldn’t handle Citra at all. Citra is mostly CPU dependent, the GPU is used for small tasks only.

If anything citra should support Metal… lol… but seriously, +1 for metal support.

Somehow doubt you would get any support for that - macOS is only 7% of Citra users, and most devs develop on Linux or Windows.

I know this is a little off topic but I wanna know how is the performance of citra on your specs?
