System Information

  • Operating System: MacOS Big Sur 11.1
  • CPU: 1,4 GHz Core i5
  • GPU: Intel HD Graphics 5000 1530 MB
  • Citra Version (found in title bar): the last update
  • Game: Pokemon Ultra Sun
  • Screenshot of Issue (include the full Citra window including titlebar):

Hi all,
I am trying to play Pokemon Ultra Sun on a Mac with OS Big Sure 11.1 (last update). I have 4 GB ram at 1600 MHz DDR3, so I should support OpenGl 3.3. My video card is a Intel HD Graphics 5000 1530 MB. When I start the game the bottom screen doesn’t work properly and the upper screen doesn’t show the pokemon’s HP. Also, Citra often crashes. I’m pretty sure it should be compatible with my system and my hardware, overall.
Any help and comments are much appreciated.
Thanks all.

The log file is incomplete. Make sure you follow the steps carefully:

  1. Open Citra and go to File>Open Citra Folder and open up the log folder. Now keep that open in the background.
  2. Launch your game and encounter the problem; crash/slowdown/glitch and close citra if it doesn’t do so by itself. Do not restart citra as that will wipe the log of important information!
  3. Now upload the log file in this chat.

Here is the new log file.
Btw, thanks for getting back to me.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Have a good one,
Giovy

MacOS didn’t like a couple changes that were made to Citra in recent versions, maybe this is related to that: Download citra-osx-20200707-bd7ee8c.tar.gz (direct link) from https://github.com/citra-emu/citra-nightly/releases/tag/nightly-1587
Extract it, run the citra-qt executable inside and run your game.

Thanks Sleeping Snake I’ll try that.

Hi, the solution you prospected worked. Citra still crashes from time to time but the screens both work perfectly.
