Joining a Room Errors

Issue:
Enter a description of your issue here, in full detail.
When trying to make and join a room, me and my friends get an error saying “Unable to connect to the host. Verify that the connection settings are correct. If you still cannot connect, contact the room host and verify that the host is properly configured with the external port forwarded.” How do we fix this?

it’s normal go to configure then in general then in web and click on what is my token and a window will open with a tutorial to join a room

Citra does not host your room for you on our server. Your router is required to act as your own server. This means that you also need to set up your router to allow for that. This means that you need to tell your router to open up the port that Citra uses for others to connect to. That is port forwarding. This process is a bit different per router model, so it would be best to consult your router’s instruction manual on how to do this for your specific device.
