I try playing for a bit but after like 10 seconds or so it gives me this pop-up message. What could be the problem?

You’re using an outdated version of Early Access. The latest mainline versions have the latest fixes and a new UI for setting up controllers. You can get the latest mainline builds through the yuzu installer here.
After downloading the newest version of yuzu, set up the Player 1 controller as follows:
