Lag in pokemon ultra sun

Issue:
Enter a description of your issue here, in full detail.
I have a slight drop in fps when I view the Pokémon, open the bag, or do something that completely changes the content of the screen and returns to the game. Also on routes 4 and 5 I have a small decrease to 20fps at the end of turns and go back to attack selection.

Here’s some issues I found with your log that might help.

  • The CPU Clock percentage is not 100%. You may experience unexpected game speed.

Set your CPU Clock Speed back to 100% and set your resolution upscaler down to native. See if the issue remains, if it does, upload another log file.

I have already set the CPU clock to 100% and there is no 20fps drop on paths 4 and 5; However, now the game launch video is running at 85% speed (which with the 35% clock did not happen) and the fps still drops when changing the content on the screen and returning to the game (and the same problem that I have in omega ruby).

Neither your CPU Clock Speed or your internal resolution is set to what I told you to set them at…
Please follow the instructions I give you.

That has to do with FMVs then. This usually isn’t noticeable, however, you’re using a rather problematic CPU. It’s single thread rating is rather poor (which is what determines perfomance in Citra).

This is because of how pokemon games use CROs a lot. It basically loads and unloads the 3DS’ equivelent of a .dll file every time a scene is changed. This creates a lot of stutter especially when running weaker CPUs like yours. There’s nothing that you can do about this other than upgrading your CPU.

Hey which version are you using Citra Canary or Citra Nightly?
