Losing FPS, Freezes Constantly, Games are Unbearable

I downloaded and played this almost a year ago. It generally ran fine and there was a lag spike here and there but it was tolerable and playable.
At this point, I haven’t touched Citra since the very beginning of this year and now when I try to play the game, I’m constantly losing frames and speed. It freezes so much it’s not even bearable and the game is just unplayable.
I’ve looked up guide after guide of increasing fps but nothing is working. I don’t know jack about technology and I have no idea what to do at this point. Please I just want to see my monsters again lmao

I’m sure I didn’t need to fill all of this out but here is all the information it asked for:

The core timing improvements with Nightly 1544 didn’t work nicely with this game unfortunately, you can either try underclock Citra to like 25% or downgrade to this older build: https://github.com/citra-emu/citra-nightly/releases/tag/nightly-1543

You should upgrade the drivers as well for more performance.

GPU Driver Version:

This driver is outdated, you need to update.

Download and install igfx_win10_100.8935.exe from: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/29988/Intel-Graphics-Windows-10-DCH-Drivers?product=149091
direct link: https://downloadmirror.intel.com/29988/a08/igfx_win10_100.8935.exe

If you cannot install 8935 right away, downgrade to 6373 first:

Download win64_25.20.100.6373.zip from https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28289/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10
direct link: https://downloadmirror.intel.com/28289/a08/win64_25.20.100.6373.zip

then follow this guide to install it: https://www.howtogeek.com/343287/how-to-fix-the-driver-being-installed-is-not-validated-for-this-computer-on-intel-computers/

Since you have an i7, you might have discrete graphics like Nvidia. Check in Device Manager under Display adapters if you have more than Intel HD, let me know.

Thank you very much, I will try these next, and no, I only have Intel Graphics
