Issue:
After 3 months I’ve returned to playing on emulator. First thing I did was updating Citra, after that I opened Animal Crossing :NL. The game gave me only “New Save File” option. I’ve checked save files on system partition, apparently they are still there. Is it possible that update or not playing by this long could delete my saves ?
System Information
Operating System: Win 10
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X Six-Core
GPU: Radeon RX 580 Series
Citra Version (found in title bar): Citra Nightly 2010
In order for us to provide better support, we need to see the log generated by citra. This guide will walk you through how you can obtain the log file: How to Upload the Log File
No game was booted in your log. If you are experiencing a crash then do not open citra again until after you posted the log as it gets purged when you reopen citra.
For more information, see How to Upload the Log File
This usually only happens if you create a user folder where citra-qt.exe is at using the installer. The installer wipes the old before updating. This doesn’t happen by default because the executable and saves/settings are in different folders.
You can try use like Recuva to recover it if you have any idea what the save file/folder was called (can probably just check the current with Open Save Data Location option in Citra).
