Low FPS on Link Between Worlds on start up

When I boot up the game, it runs, but with a very low frame rate and it lists as 1/2 speed. I’ve looked through your support forums and haven’t found this specific example.

System Information

  • Operating System: windows 10 home
  • CPU: AMD ryzen 73700X 8-core processor
  • GPU: amd radeon RX 5700
  • Citra Version (found in title bar): 1580
  • Game: The Legend Of Zelda Link Between Worlds

I did not find anything wrong in your log file. Please wait for a moderator to assist.

It looks like you accidentally reopened Citra before uploading the log. The log gets cleared every time you open Citra. Have the log folder open in the background first before closing Citra so you can immediately upload a new log.

Here’s some issues I found with your log that might help.

  • Due to AMD’s poorly optimized OpenGL driver, you may experience slowdowns.
  • Enabling Accurate Multiplication is recomended in certain games. If you are experiencing graphical glitches, try enabling this option.

@tywald am I to understand there isn’t another solution and some parts of the game will simply run slower? 1/2 speed is pretty unplayable in my opinion.

You can try update drivers to 20.5.1, however AMD GPUs on Windows have poor OpenGL performance so in your case you might have to dual boot Linux (e.g Ubuntu). The other way is to switch to Nvidia :confused:

The game runs good on my end on i7-3770K & GTX 1070.
