Issue: mac citra crashes once pokemon moon and ultra moon is opened

Whenever i try to run pokemon moon or ultra moon it crashes the moment it starts. i’m on an Macbook air M2 and i dont know if its citra or the rom itself thats causing the system to crash.

System Information

  • Operating System: macOS Ventura
  • CPU: 8-core
  • GPU: 8-core
  • Citra Version (found in title bar): citra-osx-20220901-d380980
  • Game: Pokemon Ultra Moon

Diagnostic Log
I cant seem to figure out how to upload a diagnostic log but if its needed i’ll figure out a way.

In order for us to provide better support, we need to see the log generated by citra. This guide will walk you through how you can obtain the log file: How to Upload the Log File

Apple Silicon devices are not support yet. As is stated by the huge orange banner on our downloads page.

Alright, i thought it was just M1 macs thanks for your help!

I’ll update the site to include the M2 as well in the future. They’re both the same thing really, an ARM MacOS device running on Apple Silicon.

Good to know, I’m a total tec noob and just assumed that there would be more of a difference. Thanks for all your help!
