Mario & Luigi : Paper Jam - Crash on a fight with stack of paper gombas

Issue:
The game run very well, there are some lags when we fight some paper enemies, but it’s work.
But I started a fight with a stack of paper gombas, and the game crashed on the little animation there before a combat (probably when the game initialise the fight).

For information, i dumped the game + the shared fonts.

System Information

  • Operating System: Windows 10 Version 1703
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-4200U
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GT 720M
  • Citra Version (found in title bar): Citra Nightly | HEAD-ac168ee

Interesting, sounds like a legitimate bug. There is a GitHub open regarding Paper Goomba Stack fights, #2712, but that describes slowdowns as opposed to a crash. I’d see what the #citra-dev IRC channel has to say (IRC details are at the bottom of the wiki homepage).

I also presently I play this games and I lag a lot the fight against the gommba in wheels. I am very interested if you have the solution

I had the same problem. Bleeding edge and nightly builds.

wait did they already fix crash when game starts I’ve been waiting for long time so they fix the crash on start

just noticed the problem paper models are the cause making game very slow just when Dolphin was still being developed & Paper Mario glitches paper models

Same Crash with Nightly Build - 22fc378, the game review (https://citra-emu.org/game/mario-luigi-paper-jam/) is incorrect.

Please submit a PR to our games wiki to change the rating if you feel it is incorrect. Also please open and link the Github issue to the game.
