MHXX frame skip/choppy gameplay issue

So, as the title suggest ive been playing MHXX to with the latest canary build, i’ve used a couple of canary build which i could’nt remember the build version and the games run at almost full 29-30fps with almost no fps drop
But the game still feels choppy and there’s a lot of frame skipping which i think caused by the frame time
I got 4-9ms frametime on average, and while it look good on paper, in practice i think the frametime is too fast and unstable thus the frame skipping
Is there anyway to sync the frame time so it stays at 16ms? I’d rather have a longer latency than a choppy gameplay

Or if anyone can suggest what build is best to use for MHXX in particular that’d be good too

Probably due to shader compilation, you can try things like settings Max Pre Rendered Frames on Nvidia CP or v-sync, but i don’t think that would help.

Nah I have felt this weird “frame skipping” myself by just running around in Bherna village :stuck_out_tongue: I can probably record a sample so you can also see it.

Pretty severe the first 7 seconds, goes away at 21s-24s then it happens again and ends at 34s.

Try latest Canary and see if the issue is still there. I seem to be unable to reproduce it after the dynarmic changes: https://github.com/citra-emu/citra/pull/4086
