Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate stuck at black screen

Issue:
Previously, MH4U ran smoothly with 30 FPS as the lowest. After the Dah’ren Mohran encounter and exploring the town, my computer automatically restarted (probably due to an overheated CPU). From then on, the game has been stuck on a black screen, with frames ranging from 60FPS at 100% Speed to as little as 3FPS at 4% Speed. Can anyone offer solutions to this?

Here’s some issues I found with your log that might help.

  • You are running out of date drivers for your GPU. You need to install the most recent driver for your graphics card from NVIDIA’s website. https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx
  • Enabling Accurate Multiplication is recomended in certain games. If you are experiencing graphical glitches, try enabling this option.

Enable Hardware Renderer and Hardware Shader.

I have now enabled both the Hardware Renderer and the Hardware Shader, but the problem still hasn’t changed.

Hm, try reset all settings: Emulation->Configure->Reset All Settings post a new screenshot on the new black screen, wondering if it says like 0fps, 0%/100% speed, nan ms.

Here’s the screenshot and the log itself

Hm, at this point I think it’s corrupted. Try redump using the guides and make sure you have enough free space on your SD card.
