The log file is incomplete. Make sure you follow the steps carefully:

  1. Open Citra, then go to File>Open Citra Folder and open up the log folder. Now keep that open in the background.
  2. Launch your game and encounter the problem; crash/slowdown/glitch and close citra if it doesn’t do so by itself. Do not restart citra as that will wipe the log of important information!
  3. Now upload the log file in this chat.

Here’s some issues I found with your log that might help.

  • You are running out of date drivers for your GPU. You need to install the most recent driver for your graphics card from Intel’s website. Downloads for Graphics

^ This driver is out of date. To update: Download win64_15.33.53.5161.zip (direct link) from Download Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows* [15.33]

Then follow this guide to install it: https://www.howtogeek.com/343287/how-to-fix-the-driver-being-installed-is-not-validated-for-this-computer-on-intel-computers/

Furthermore, because your iGPU has driver bugs, you’ll need to use an older version of Citra in order to prevent random freezing and crashing from occurring until you upgrade your hardware:
Download citra-windows-mingw-20191214-ddb7ead.7z from Release nightly-1392: Merge pull request #5020 from jroweboy/dynamic-mf · citra-emu/citra-nightly · GitHub
Extract it using Winrar or 7zip. Put the extracted folder anywhere you want. Now run citra-qt.exe from the folder and run your game.

downloaded the exe from intel’s site using the link in the bot’s response.image_2021-04-08_153559

i’m on a Dell OptiPlex 9010.

edit 3:42PM: restarting after driver install from dell’s website. also, turns out that my graphics is Intel HD Graphics 4000.

nope. log again: citra_log.txt (6.7 KB)

  • Enabling Accurate Multiplication is recomended in certain games. If you are experiencing graphical glitches, try enabling this option.

Follow this instead: My Citra keeps crashing when I load a ROM - #5 by SleepingSnake.

Please read my post again. It clearly says to download the .zip file, not the .exe file. The guide that I posted with that also explains exactly why you got that error message. Please follow the instructions I gave you before claiming that it doesn’t work.

Edit: No, your iGPU is Intel HD 2500, not 4000. It just so happens that these two iGPUs share the same drivers.

i did, but this is for graphics 520, not 2500.

or is it?

lemme see…

I have no idea what you’re on about. Intel HD Graphics 520 is a skylake iGPU. You have an Intel HD Graphics 2500, which is an Ivy bridge iGPU (which is a lot older).
You can’t install drivers for Intel HD Graphics 520 on an Intel HD Graphics 2500 iGPU. The code and the architecture don’t match.

oh yea i got aida 64 before i made this post and it siad ivy somewhere
edit: done lemme test (ignoring the fact that my pc almost blew up right now at least it sounded like it.)
