Nightly 1868 appears to have broken save states as a function in Pokemon X

Updating to Nightly 1868 initially broke opening games in general, then when I reset all my settings, loading a save state, even one made during the current session, immediately closes the game. Reverting to 1866 fixed the problem immediately.

We’re aware of the issue. The dev who introduced the issue has already opened a PR for it. The next Canary build tomorrow should have a fix for this.
