Nightly and Canary Ceased Function

As seems to be a common error at the moment,
both versions of Citra have recently ceased
functionality, not even opening up and instead
displaying an error message. Due to this, I can’t
seem to update either anymore as well.
I heard that a fix has been made, but due to the
previously described problem I am unable to
download it the way I know how to.
Is there another way to receive the update-fix?

In order for us to provide better support, we need to see the log generated by Citra. This guide will walk you through how you can obtain the log file: How to Upload the Log File.

I assume you are on Windows, open maintenancetool.exe (do a Windows search, it should pop up). You will be able to update with that.

Can you show a screenshot when you start typing it in search?

The default location should be C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Citra (you can put this line into run, i.e Windows Key+R and it should take you there).

The folder structure should be like this:


Huh? Weird. I was in the Citra file and it looked nothing like this,
but now I looked again and it was all there.
Anyway, it worked, thank you for your help.
