No funciona mi pack de textura

Issue:
Yo realice una sola imagen (una textura) para Mario kart 7 dicha imagen la colocaba en la carpeta de textura personalizada, pero no funciona, la única manera en la cual yo pueda hacer un cambio, es modificando un poco una imagen que se encuentra en la carpeta de volcado de textura pero solo puedo hacer eso, modificarla, pero no reemplazarla por otra imagen de mayor resolución, me gustaría saber que estoy haciendo mal o cómo puedo realizar mis propios paquetes de texturas.

dato extra: la imagen que realice con mayor resolución, estaba en formato (PNG) y el nombre terminaba con (.PNG) pero abecés yo mismo retiraba el (.PNG) del nombre. porque estaba tratando de buscar una solución.
