During an online battle with a friend in Pokemon Y, the battle stops for no apparent reason, and i have no internet problems

Does that happen in the middle of the battle? Like, after one round of combat has already occurred?
it happens in the middle of the battle, yes
Then I’m not too sure. Are both sides running the game at 100% emulation speed at all times?
I run the emulator at 200% ussuallly, but i slow it down to 100% before battling, my friend also does this.
