Pokemon ash pikachu missing deliveryman

Hello can anyone tell me why the delivery man for ash pikachu is not showing up i already scanned but still not there, i tried leaving the game and coming back still not there, what’s wrong?

Not sure. Never tried this out myself. Are you sure that this feature doesn’t require a connection to Nintendo’s servers? A lot of “mystery gift” type events were locked behind the network in the past after all.
