Pokemon Sun model/texture flickering Vega 8

The game runs fine, but parts of models and occasionally textures flicker at random. Disabling hardware shaders fixes it, but obviously causes a notable performance hit.

Hardware Shader is known to have issues with AMD GPUs. This is due to buggy drivers with AMD GPUs which causes poor OpenGL performance.

Is there nothing else I can try, then? Without hardware shader the performance is pretty bad, with it it’s smooth.

Unless AMD fixes their drivers, not really.

Have you tried using the “Accurate Multiplication” and “Accurate Geometry Shader” options? I have an Nvidia GPU but I was experiencing similar model/texture flickering until I enabled both options.
