Pokemon Sun performance on AMD

#1

Issue:
I’m trying to play Pokemon Sun on the bleeding edge version, and been trying to play it with nigthlies for a couple of weeks, and it stalls at 45 fps, making it practically unplayable.
Is there any setting I can mess with to make performance better? The CPU usage sits at about 40% but the game doesn’t run faster.
Would overlocking yield some results?

If you don’t have any 3rd party application that’s limiting your framerate (FRAPS, Dxtory, etc) then overclocking may help. However, most games not running at full speed is completely normal and will be improved in future iterations of Citra.

This is answered on our FAQ page. Citra is still considered in it’s early stages. We’re focusing on compatibility before speed.

Use bleeding edge builds, turn on Limit Framerate and leave V-sync off. There isn’t really much a user can do unless you upgrade your CPU.
