Pokemon Ultra Moon freezes randomly when gaming

  • CPU: intel i7-6700k
  • GPU: GTX980
  • Citra Version (found in title bar): Nightly 1678
  • Game: Pokemon Ultra Moon

Doing some egg collecting activity in Pokemon Ultra Moon, which is just simply left-right loop and sometimes press a for a bit. I wrote a a script in another software to control my keyboard to press the keys and automate the process. However Citra would freeze randomly along the process which is really troubling me. Could anyone help please?thanks

Here’s some issues I found with your log that might help.

  • The CPU Clock percentage is not 100%. You may experience unexpected game speed.

Please set the CPU Clock Speed back to 100% in Emulation>Configuration>System. Setting it to anything other than 100% will most definitely increase instabilities, which can lead to freezing.
