Pokemon Ultra Sun: Freeze during encounters

Issue:
The game always freezes during any encounter (wild or trainer). I used cheats and even reinstall Citra does not change the results.

Ok, sorry I’ve edited the post. Thanks

The log file is incomplete. Make sure you follow the steps carefully:

  1. Open Citra, then go to File>Open Citra Folder and open up the log folder. Now keep that open in the background.
  2. Launch your game and encounter the problem; crash/slowdown/glitch and close citra if it doesn’t do so by itself. Do not restart citra as that will wipe the log of important information!
  3. Now upload the log file in this chat.

I am sorry for the confusion

Here’s some issues I found with your log that might help.

  • You have cheats enabled. This might cause weird behaviour or crashes. Please disable them and retest if your game is experiencing bugs or crashes.

I have already tried to disable cheats but nothing changed

Disable cheats, then restart the entire Citra program (important, otherwise they remain active). Now try your game again. If it still freezes, please upload another log file.

There is a ton of unmapped read spam in your log file, this usually indicates your dumped files are corrupted or you have bad cheats enabled. Since we’ve already ruled out the cheats, we can assume that your current ROM is corrupted. You’ll have to redump them. Please refer to our Game Dumping Guides:

Dumping Game Cartridges
Dumping Installed Titles

Make sure your GM9 is up-to-date and that you have enough storage space available on your SD-Card to perform the dump. You should have around 4gb available for Pokemon Ultra Sun.

Thank you, you’re great!
