Pokemon Ultra Sun freezes Citra while trying to launch

Issue:
The emulator practically freezes up when trying to launch to game. After that, the emulator is unresponsive and I am forced to close it up via task manager.

Your log is full of unmapped read spam. Which is usually an indication of one of 4 things:

  • A badly edited ROM (romhack/randomized)
  • a corrupted ROM
  • a corrupted update
  • Bad cheat(s)

If this is not a romhack or randomizer, and you don’t have an update installed, it’s safe to assume you have a corrupted rom. If so, please redump your game using our guides:
