Have you only been using save states or have you also saved properly in-game?

If you were using in game saves, you can just right click on the game in Citra file browser>open game directory then copy the main file. The main file has the in game save and can be used on any other system or even after reinstall. Just paste in the selected game’s directory.

i have been using only save states

That is most likely why. Save states is not a replacement for regular saves; you still need to save in-game to avoid problems.

You will most likely need to start over, sorry :frowning:
