[Pokemon X] Cheat codes using hold down buttons don't work

Cheat codes requiring holding down buttons don’t seem to work:
I’m running a copy of Pokemon X and was looking through a few cheat codes. I wanted to use one in particular that states “[Hold L to view IVs & Hold R to view EVs on Pokemon Status Screen v1.5]”. I really wanted to get this running so I troubleshoot around once I noticed it didn’t work. It seems that I’m perfectly able to run other cheats, but if it requires me to hold a button to activate something it doesn’t do anything. I’m not sure if it matters but I’ll list the specific cheat code below. I can’t find any sources of where the cheat code came from other than the CTRPF AR cheat code repository and there isn’t exactly anything written other than the code itself. I’m running a ROM hack, Eternal X, but I tested the same code on a vanilla version so I’m fairly certain that’s not the issue. Also ran it both with and without the 1.5 patches. Please let me know if anyone has an idea or if there’s any info I can provide to help out

This is a known issue. So far, this hasn’t been looked into yet.

Aw, that’s a real shame.
I’m not too knowledgeable on how cheat codes work but do you think it would be possible to repurpose the cheat code to work via just a button press instead of hold?

That’s a bit outside of my area of expertise.

No worries. Thanks for the answers
