Pokemon X Crashes During Gameplay

Issue:
I’m playing Pokemon X, and the game is crashing out frequently and unexpectedly during gameplay. I have been combing through other crash reports on this site, and I have tried to take the steps that you advocate for (the shader issue, for example). Unfortunately, nothing seems to be working. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated!

MacOS seems to have issues with some of the recent changes made in Citra. Perhaps your issue is related to that. Please try out this older Citra version to test this:
Download citra-osx-20200707-bd7ee8c.tar.gz from Release nightly-1587: Common: remove a mod from AlignUp (#5441) · citra-emu/citra-nightly · GitHub
Extract it and then run the citra-qt executable found inside of the extracted folder.

I have the exact same issue. As soon as I start it it just freezes and crashes. Tried everything…

I used the version that was recommended to me (making sure to turn on Accurate Multiplication). It certainly works better, but it has still crashed a couple of times. It’s not as much of a problem, and I intend to play through it. Thank you so much for your help!

It’s getting worse, and I can’t really play the mini-game that allows me to boost stats. citra_log copy.txt (115.5 KB)

  • Enabling Accurate Multiplication is recomended in certain games. If you are experiencing graphical glitches, try enabling this option.

I have enabled the Accurate Multiplication, and it’s still happening.

At this point, I’d try redumping your game. Please refer to our game dumping guides:

Dumping Game Cartridges
Dumping Installed Titles

Make sure your GM9 is up to date and that you have enough free storage space available on your SD-Card to perform the dump.
