Pokemon X Graphics bugged at certain frames of the game

Issue:
About 2 weeks ago the game would have these gray textured areas at only certain frames of the game picture included below. Not too pressing a manner as I can still play, but wouldn’t mind fixing it if at all possible. The week prior I had no problem.

Troubleshooting attempted but found no success:

  • reinstalling citra
  • new install of pokemon x
  • change the internal resolution in citra’s settings (some sizes would reduce or increase the amount of “gray textured area” but not remove it altogether)
  • using Citra Canary
