If you want to play the game that bad, just play it on your 3DS for the time being. The fix isn’t going to be released anytime soon.

I believe @wwylele was working on this. No ETA, and iirc is on hold for now(?).

There is no deadline, this is not a job. People do this work for free on their free time as a hobby. I would love to pokemon x in high res after beating it years ago. You can buy a 2ds for $80, which is literally the best deal out there.
