In order to save a copy of the log, follow this guide:

In order for us to provide better support, we need to see the log generated by citra. This guide will walk you through how you can obtain the log file: How to Upload the Log File

Save states save the entirety of Citra’s emulation state, and as a result, new Citra updates that add new things to serialize in the emulation state will break the loading of save states that were created on prior Citra versions (array size too short error). Additionally, saving upon save state created progress will make the emulation state gradually more unstable. Since the emulation state never gets to clear out emulation bugs with a proper shut down. This is why in-game save files should be used most of all when saving and loading your progress. Save states should only be used within single gaming sessions, not beyond them.

Did you save in-game at all? If not, upload a log file using the guide that the bot posted above, as well as tell me what save state slot you’re trying to load. I should be able to find the old Citra version you need to load your save state (so that you can save in-game afterwards).

citra_log.txt (6.5 KB) thanks man. i’m on PkMn X, hope u can help

Make sure that you’re opening citra-qt.exe, and not citra.exe. One will work, the other will not.

The log file is incomplete. Make sure you follow the steps carefully:

  1. Open Citra, then go to File>Open Citra Folder (Citra>Open Citra Folder if on MacOS) and open up the log folder. Now keep that open in the background.
  2. Launch your game and encounter the problem; crash/slowdown/glitch and close Citra if it doesn’t do so by itself. Do not restart Citra as that will wipe the log of important information!
  3. Now upload the log file in this chat.

No, you should stop relying on save states so much, and use in-game save files. Save states are meant to be used within single gaming sessions, not beyond them. If you do that, you won’t have any issues with them potentially not functioning anymore on your next gaming session.

I tried this but now it say vector::reserve and it is not working what do i do now

Don’t follow instructions that weren’t meant for you. Those builds were specific to the save state of the people who uploaded log files. So, use the latest Nightly build, and get a log file for your save state: How to Upload the Log File
I’ll be able to figure out what build you need to load yours, so that you can save in-game.

Please help to check on game save crash for Pokemon X thanks
