Pokemon Y - black screen and no sound after start

Issue:
Right after the initial scene with the bird waking me up, the screen cuts to black and the sound drops off - I’ve tried other fixes on the forum but nothing I’ve tried so far seems to work,

System Information

  • Operating System: Windows 11
  • CPU: Intel Core 11th Gen - i7-11700KF
  • GPU: RTX 3080 ti
  • Citra Version (found in title bar): Citra Nightly 1823
  • Game: Pokemon Y

Cheat code is still enabled. Please double check that you disabled the cheat code correctly and restarted the emulation (otherwise the cheat remains active).
