Pokemon Y black screen but sound drivers are fine

Issue:
Pokemon Y starts fine but after I get past the start screen it goes black with sound but then crashes Citra and my computer. I tried updating my drivers but that didnt work.

  • GPU: Intel(R) HD Graphics 620

Tried to install with each of the two links but got an error saying, “Your system has a driver that is locked to manufacturer specifications. Please try downloading the latest driver from the manufacturere’s website to update.” I thought this was the manufacturers website since my gpu is Intel and that is Intel’s website. Heres the error log if that helps.

That’s a proprietary driver then. We can get around that by manually installing an older driver first:

Download win64_25.20.100.6373.zip from https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28289/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10
Mirror download: https://downloadmirror.intel.com/28289/a08/win64_25.20.100.6373.zip

Now you should be able to install the latest DCH drivers directly:
