EDIT: Looks like it hasn’t been linked to the game yet. Let me find the Github issue… one moment…

I believe this issue is the same thing with the freeze when starting a new game (DSP related). X and Y freezes when starting a new game, leveling up and receiving an item. It’s not playable state.

play ORAS or Sm or USUM. Its playable. XY isnt playable.

Wow, so helpful.

At least I tried to be helpful; even if already reported, it wasn’t listed (not sure if that has been corrected).

Hey guys, I found the solution to avoid the sound related freezes like when leveling up or receiving an item or whatever similar to it. It does slow the game quite a bit, but it works fine.

  1. Run Citra
  2. Open Configure and navigate to the System submenu
  3. In the system tab choose Sound output mode -> Mono
  4. In the audio tab under Emulation pick either the 2nd or 3rd option (Basically anything but the “fast” one works)

Let me know how you fared!

Cheers,

T

on the latest canary, the fast option works. and you can change your sound back to stereo.
