Pokemon Y still stucks after introduction with professor despite the compatibility list says otherwise

Latest update on citra says pokemon X/Y should work, regardless my citra emulator is not able to emulate past the profesor introduction. I’m playing on a notebook that has run heavier games at stable fps except during some cut scenes. Have no screenshot, but it’s the classic black screen. The only difference I noticed about black screens I got in last updates are that instead of being stuck at 0% and 0 FPS they are at 100% and 30 FPS. Still black screen.

Diagnostic Log
citra_log.txt (70.1 KB)

I found some issues in that log that need resolving:

  • This game requires an audio engine that is not yet implemented in Citra.
  • Citra is currently utilizing open-source system files which may cause emulation to be less accurate, but not affect system stability.

What version number are you on?

Install the latest canary build 1156

i did but current canary consumes more RAM that should, making the whole PC work like ass.

Yes that’s a known issue. Developers are working on a fix.

EDIT: It should be fixed now. The fix has been merged.
