Problem with starting a ROM, citra-qt.exe has stopped working

Hi All,

On my computer i seem to have a problem with running Citra.
I have tried with two roms, Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Ultra Sun and both seem to have the same problem.
On my laptop both roms with the same Citra build run fine.
What happens is that I start Citra-qt, select the game to start and then it crashes with the citra-qt.exe has stopped working notification. I also dragged the game onto Citra.exe to start but the same thing happends.
I have checked the openGL version and this is OpenGL 4.something (can’t remember…) so this doens’t seem to be the problem. I have tried to run Citra with administration rights and this did not fix the problem either.

your log is incomplete, before trying to run your game, go to Emulation > Configure > Debug > and click on Open Log Location, leave this folder open. now open your game, wait for it to crash and close citra.

don’t open citra again, just submit the log inside that previously opened folder.

I did not find anything wrong in your log file. Please wait for a moderator to assist.

At first glance I would suggest making sure you have decrypted .3DS files but if the same files work on another computer. I would guess that some of your drivers are outdated. If you messed with settings that you are unsure of you can reinstall a fresh copy of the latest Nightly build.

Be sure when uninstalling you completely remove everything in C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Citra just incase something is left behind so it doesn’t cause issues with your fresh install.
